My friend Rik is putting together an information site built for and by men, women, and families that are in or have been in the military. The purpose of the site is summed up pretty well in this paragraph:

Questions being answered by fellow military members. What a novel concept. Of all of this information being made available but not easily discovered and presented, there had to be a better way to cut through the fog and find that which is truly pertinent to the military member and their family. Rik felt an information aggregator was needed. Better yet, a forum where this experiential learning could take place through a socialized mechanism of sharing knowledge. A "Virtual Watering Hole" as it where.

What is the process For replacing Military records/DD-214s?

Looks like there will be lot's of questions like that answered there.

I also love to see stories written or told by soldiers and Marines in Iraq and Afghanistan. I read things from them and I wonder why the heck the professional journalists are missing out on it.

Jung here re-examines its causes, course, and consequences. Correcting mistakes that plagued previous histories, Jung focuses on the complex nature of Indian resistance and the role of intertribal conflict in the war.
